About Us

Fitzroy River and Coastal Catchments (FRCC) is a non profit community based Natural Resource Management group based at 14 Wandal Road, Rockhampton QLD.

FRCC receives funding from the Fitzroy Basin Association to implement sustainable land management practices within the catchments of the Fitzroy and Coastal Catchments of the Broadsound and Yeppoon regions.

FRCC Management Committee

Swamps at St LawrenceFRCC is governed by a Management Committee which is responsible for the management and operation of the organisation. The Committee is also responsible for project assessment and approvals. The Management Committee meets on a monthly basis.

The Committee consists of up to 11 people with particular areas of interest including grazing, Landcare, weeds, cultural heritage, local government, business, industry, water, conservation, fishing and horticulture. The FRCC Management Committee is structured such that:

  • Eight (8) Members are elected by the membership (Elected members)
  • Up to three (3) people are selected by the Committee to fill gaps in knowledge or sector representation (Special Members).
