Fitzroy River and Coastal Catchments Natural Resource Management Plan
The Plan, developed through a community consultation process in 2003 to 2004, guides natural resource management and investments in the Fitzroy River catchment including the coastal catchments. The delivery mechanism for implementation of many actions within the Plan is the Neighbourhood Catchment Program.
The Plan aligns with the Central Queensland Strategy for Sustainability – 2004 and Beyond (CQSS2) which is the regional plan developed by the Fitzroy Basin Association and assoicated stakeholders.
The 2006 reprint of the Plan includes minor updates and additional information relating to the management of the coastal environment.
